About Sipsey Valley High

Serving learners in grades 9-12

Sipsey Valley High School is a fully-accredited secondary school for students in grades nine through twelve. It is located in the Southwest portion of Tuscaloosa County. The school, which opened in 2010 has a student body of roughly 500 students served by approximately 35 faculty members.

The opportunities provided for our students to grow socially come from a wide array of activities and clubs which are available to all who wish to participate. Service clubs, such as Key Club, Ambassadors, and FCCLA actively promote community involvement in our students. Events at school such as Homecoming, the Junior/Senior Prom, and many others allow our faculty members and students to work together outside of the classroom. Needless to say, many of our most memorable lessons in life come from these social interactions.

We are excited about all of our athletic programs, which will include all of the major sports for both males and females. This will give many students an opportunity to excel outside of the classroom.

If you have already chosen to locate in our community, we welcome you and look forward to our working together. If you visiting our area, on behalf of our students, faculty, and staff of Sipsey Valley High School family, we would like to extend to you an open invitation to visit our campus at any time. Should you be moving to our area with teenage children, you will find in Sipsey Valley High School an atmosphere open and receptive to new students with a great pride in our school and its students. We look forward to having you in our Sipsey Valley family.
