Drivers: Please attend the date your school is scheduled. Classes are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day at the bus shop. There are some make up dates but attending your area meeting is strongly advised. Drivers for students with special needs will not be allowed to attend the regular recertification classes.

- January 17, 2024- Sipsey Valley, Buhl, Westwood, Myrtlewood, Crestmont, Faucett-Vestavia, Flatwoods, TCHS, Echols
- February 20, 2024 – Holt High, Holt Elem., Cottondale, DEM, NSMS, Walker, NSHS, CRMS, Matthews, Big Sandy
- May 7, 2024 – BMS, BHS, BES, Vance, Lakeview
- Brookwood recertification class will be held at Brookwood High School)
- September 5, 2024 – HCHS, HCMS, DMS, TPS, Englewood, Maxwell, NPE, HPES, NIS
Make up recertification dates for regular driver recertification: July 5 and October 10. If you cannot attend your scheduled class, you will need to call the office and let Kristy know so she can schedule you a make up date.
Special Needs Drivers & Bus Paraeducators
Recertification classes for Special Needs Drivers and Aides will be on the following dates:
- February 21, 2024 – buses 216 through 232
- April 2, 2024 – buses 200 through 215
Make up recertification date: October 30, 2024. If you cannot attend your scheduled class, you will need to call the office and let Kristy or Emily know so they can schedule you a make up date.
New Bus Driver Classes for Tuscaloosa County
State Classes
- March 4-6, 2024 at Northport Bus Shop
- July 22-24 at Northport Bus Shop
- November 4-6, 2024 at Northport Bus Shop
All applicants must attend a new driver orientation and training classes to be eligible to attend the State Class. Our trainers will contact you with the date of the orientation class.
