Career & Technical Education
Helping students gain skills and confidence to prepare them for life after high school.
The Career and Technical Education (CTE) program is a rigorous, progressive, and vital part of the total educational system that provides students with life skills and prepares them for a workforce in which business and industry are confident.
Our mission is to provide resources and services that enable student success in life and work!
The Tuscaloosa County School System offers career training programs within its seven middle schools and six high schools and in partnership with the Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy. TCSS currently offers 25 CTE programs at the high school level. Programs are offered in all 16 of the National Career Clusters. We are very proud of our community stakeholders and our partnerships with business and industry in West Alabama.
