• FFA: Future Farmers of America is a national organization that expands the opportunities in leadership and agriscience skill development for students in public schools. FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agriscience education.

• HOSA: Health Occupation Students of America is a national organization that provides opportunities for students to develop leadership, civic, and employability skills. Participation in this pre-professional organization emphasizes the importance of membership in professional organizations as students enter the workforce.
• SkillsUSA: SkillsUSA is a national organization for students enrolled in occupational programs in technical, skilled, health, and service occupations. The members are trained in effective communication and management skills, teamwork, networking, workplace ethics, interviewing techniques, and other skills designed to help students succeed.
• TSA: The Technology Student Association is a national organization devoted exclusively to the needs of elementary, middle, and high school students with a dedicated interest in technology. Alabama TSA is an integral part of the instructional career technologies programs. Students practice leadership, career awareness, service, and problem solving while developing technological literacy.

The Tuscaloosa County School System offers the following career and technical education programs for all students in grades 9-12.
